Care-taker govt must ahead of general polls: Amin Fahim

President of Pakistan People Party Parliamentarian (PPP-P) Makhdoom Amin Fahim has stressed upon the need of constituting impartial and care-taker government through national consensus ahead of the forthcoming general polls. He expressed these views in his telephonic address to PPP workers at the residence of Rana Kashif Hameed, City President PPP.

Tehsil President Mian Asad Masood, Deputy District General Secretary Chaudhry Amin ul Haq Chuhan, City Naib President Baba Zahoor-ur-Rehman alias Jhorry Shah including City President of the Youth Wing Liaquat Mustafi were also present on the occasion.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim demanded suspension of District and local government for free, fair and impartial general elections.

He said that if the government fulfills our demands then PPP is ready to take part in the general polls under the leadership of President General Pervez Musharraf.

He said that both MMA and PPP have their own agenda on politics. It is only MMA who give threat for resignation but now it has back out from its promise.

Women Protection Act is fully in accordance with manifesto of PPP-P, therefore we have supported the government over WPB, he said.

PPP-P has always given priority to the National interests instead of personnel interests in the field of politics.

Amin Fahim denied any kind of deal between PPP-P and Government and said that it is the propaganda of government agencies in an attempt to create misunderstanding between PPP-P, PML-N and ARD, he added.

The establishment of the ARD came into being only on one agenda i.e. restoration of democracy and constitutions into its original form. There is no threat to the Charter of Democracy.

"Benazir Bhutto will return to Pakistan ahead of election and the workers of PPP-P would not tolerate any kind of hindrance in this regard.
