Pakistan Elections Discussion Forum - Role of Nawaz Sharif in Present Scenerio

Nawaz Sharif has played a positive role in the present scenerio. From the time he back his decisions are counted good move towards healthy democracy. I have gone through his manifesto and no doubt its much more logical then other parties. Transparency International has suggested that Manifesto of PML-N is more clear and objective as compared to other parties.

I would like to know the views of other members on the issue and would like to have a discussion over it.

Yes its good move by the Nawaz that he showed very much solidarity against dictatorship. I have seen his interview to a private tv channel in favor of Mohterma and about their good relationships.

But there due to this one point also raises that by this move pmln leader ship degraded a little bit itself. Two time they have changed the decission of contesting the election because PPPP is participation. And it shows pppp value in political parties and in public as well.

Other point goes against PPPP that they are not cooperative with other political parties instead they do what they will. Doesn't matter what other political forces want.

I believe one thing that when you are working for democracy you have to be tolerant more then anything. While working for public sphere ego has no meaning and those who kill their ego and selfishness earns big name in the long run. If this time PPP wins with due support of PML-N then there would be a clear victory next time for PML-N on the court of general public.

Public never forget the goodwill of their leaders. You can imagine that Nawaz is back after more then 8 years but still people are responsive towards him and attend his processions with same enthusiasm & attention. It is the proof that public always remember if you have did something for them.

In such a worst crisis you must have seen that people of Sindh welcomed him open arm and kissed her hands with respect and asked him to stay there even in hospital PPP supporters said Mian Sahab humari bibi humain chor gai hay ub aap tu chor ker naa jain Its what he earned through his decision. Frankly speaking now I respect him more then ever caz I have realised that he is person give real importance to the interest of the country.

This what Politicians/Leaders do.He knew that the assassination of BB will provide boost to Nationalist parties ,and will increase hatered for Punjab so he announced Boycott of elections.(It was a political move.)

On other Hand the Peer Sahib(Altaf Bahi) issued the statement on GEO Tv that three of sindhi Prime Ministers were Killed in PINDI /Punjab,was a statement that showed hatered toward Punjab.And same is with Choudry's issueing statements Like Sindhi zardari/Punjabi zardari etc.

I m not sure about your stance of his move. But I take it as positive move. You are right that it was the time when people of sindh were feeling deserted and visit of a leader from Punjab given them a feeling of intimacy. It shows that we are bounded to each other as being Pakistani just like a human body that when one part is under pain the whole body will go through unrest.

Nawaz Sharif taken a bold step to visit Sindh even I think Zardari did wrong by stoping him to attend funeral. He should go their as he planned early.

Altaf Hussain is the person should be given order of shot at sight caz of his anti-Pakistan statements. He is fanning ethnic riots because it will give him political advantage. MQM is the party voiced for seperation of Karachi as its bussiness hub. So we cannot expect any goodwill from him.

PML-Q done worst to the integrity of the country by raising the roar of "Zardari ka Pakistan" & "Quaid ka Pakistan" its third class politics that is nothing but blame game. He has started special cell 4 those Punjabi's who will migrate from Sindh PML-Q will support them financially and help them to reside in Punjab.

What that all mean.....? It means we are no more Pakistani's rather we are Sindhi's, Punjabis, Balochis and Pukhtoons. R they leaders....? No they are vultures who will not leave even dead. They are sincere to their power only. Pervaiz Elahi said Supreme Court is not the matter of common man they just need bread, clothing and shelter and we promise to give that. Just think for a moment are we Shaheen's of Iqbal...?

Only we people can stand against this absurdity and brutality to make our own way for coming future. We are not mere toys that any leader will come and enjoy our play and then throw us just like useless garbage.

We all need to realise now that Pakistan is for all of us and until we change ourselves we cannot change Pakistan.

The statements of Altaf Hussian or Pervez Elahi are though ridiculous but are reflective of what certain people want to see and hear. So we in majoriy have to beat them in their motives and stand for one and United PAKISTAN

Definately politicians always make political moves but I m sure that they are far better then dictators. Dictators are parasites for the country that make body statue only when they leave.

Yes we have to show our presence and its only after the realization of our responsibility as a nation not as individual.

Well now the recent steps seem that He has started playing in the hands of Pervez Musharraf again and could end up playing a negative role in current crisis.

Yes he has started fowl play that will kill his image in long run. I think in the age of 60 a politician should be intelligent enough in politics that he can play positive role in national politics but his recent move has shattered my trust on him.
